BSA Troop 380 has been in existence for over 70 years and still once of the strong units in the district. Troop 380 is a Scout-led Troop that offers unique experiences in leadership development and high adventure.  Through a robust, active program centered on camping and hiking opportunities, the Scouts learn skills, have fun and build friendships that last a lifetime. Our Troop's success is built on the strengths of:

  • Relationships
  • Outdoor/Scout Skills
  • Leadership Development
  • Summer Adventures
  • Adult and Alumni Oversight
The main goal (and challenge) of all adult leaders in Troop 380 is to utilize the methods of Scouting to provide an environment where the Scouts can lead, learn and have fun while embracing the core values of Scouting: citizenship, character and fitness. We are glad that you are interested in a Scouting journey with our Troop and welcome your questions and involvement!

Scout Birthday / Holiday Gift Ideas

Posted on Jun 29 2022 - 1:36pm

Some parents have asked about camping equipment, particularly around high adventure. Equipment makes a pretty good holiday gift for your scouts. I’ve attached a Philmont gear list and description. It does a pretty good job of explaining what you might look for when making selections. In general, the lighter and smaller it is, the better it is for backpacking (though more expensive). I’ve invested in gear over the years with my older boys and I still use it for myself and current scout. Also, if it says “Coleman” on it, it likely is heavy and won’t last long on the trail but may be suitable for “car camping.”

Photo Release / Contact Info Form

Posted on Oct 8 2018 - 8:07pm

This past March when membership dues were paid, everyone should have filled out the Annual Photo Release and Activity Permission form.  However, this was overlooked.  Please fill this out as soon as possible and return to the Scoutmaster.  Some were handed out at the meeting last week and the form is attached to this announcement. You can also find it under the "Files" link  on the left menu.  Going forward, we will require these annually when the dues are paid in March.
