As you may have seen in the text blast, ALL T380 events for March have been canceled or postponed. This includes weekly troop meeting, Patrol Leader's Council, and the campout. The troop leadership will update on April events when information becomes available.

You can employ safe practices in groups, work or at home. See this brochure from the CDC for best practices: https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/downloads/workplace-school-and-home-guidance.pdf

Council is formulating plans for Summer Camp at Camp Manatoc this summer. They require a $50 deposit for each scout. Therefore, the troop will be collecting funds as well as opening signups for camp. This is being done so Council can plan for the appropriate measures based on the number of scouts. Deposit via PayPal is $52, or $50 cash/check.

Scout Holiday Gift Ideas

Posted on Dec 1 2020 - 7:54pm

Some parents have asked about camping equipment, particularly around high adventure. Equipment makes a pretty good holiday gift for your scouts. I’ve attached a Philmont gear list and description. It does a pretty good job of explaining what you might look for when making selections. In general, the lighter and smaller it is, the better it is for backpacking (though more expensive). I’ve invested in gear over the years with my older boys and I still use it for myself and current scout. Also, if it says “Coleman” on it, it likely is heavy and won’t last long on the trail but may be suitable for “car camping.”
